The advisory board was established in December 2023 as an Expo Sunderland roll call for education and employers to help us to establish a new type of event dedicated to showcasing the future of careers and skills to our residents.
The group has grown to some 40 members since and are all collectively committed to supporting a not-for-profit event that diverts limited resources to extraordinary content that is immersive, engaging and leads to matched learning and future employment in Sunderland and the Northeast region.
The mission is to boost the reputation of the city's employers and educators by connecting them with local talent. We want to show how education leads to sustainable and vibrant careers in the region for our students, residents, and businesses. By promoting local education, job, and career opportunities, we can speed up investment for new industries and their supply chains.
The Advisory Group meets quarterly to discuss progress and support in event content and promotion.
